The WOC Awards
Honoring outstanding women of color in fundraising and philanthropy
Overview
Welcome to the WOC Awards 2026! Each spring, the WOC community gathers to celebrate another year of championing women of color in fundraising and philanthropy and to honor incredible professionals through the WOC Awards.
In 2026, we honored Poonam Prasad with the Award for Excellence, Christiamilda Correa with the Shine Award and Damyury Almonte with the Spotlight Award. We were thrilled to now continue the tradition of the Corporate Award, which will go to Aspen Leadership Group and the Catherine Ferguson Philanthropy Award was awarded to the inimitable Valaida Fullwood, Founding Member, NGAAP Philanthropic Collective and Co-Creator, Giving Back: The Soul of Philanthropy, Reframed and Exhibited. We joined together for delicious offerings during the cocktail reception ahead of the awards ceremony. Following the Awards, we ended the festive evening with our traditional cake, as this evening also marks WOC’s birthday each year.
You can also purchase journal ads to support the work of WOC and to congratulate each of our honorees. The WOC Awards was a wonderful evening, and we look forward to seeing you next year!
