Christiamilda Correa, CFRE, is an award-winning community leader and accomplished relationship strategist and fundraiser, bringing her expertise in event marketing, communications, and entertainment to her deep commitment to social justice. She is the New York Executive Director at Thrive Scholars, a national organization dedicated to empowering high-achieving students from under-resourced communities by providing the skills, guidance, and professional networks they need to excel in top colleges and launch careers that lead to economic mobility.
Her work at premier youth institutions include Reel Works, The Door, University Settlement and Broome Street Academy as well as a luxury lifestyle media company Niche Media (Gotham and Hamptons magazines), where she honed skills in relationship management, publicity and strategic outreach. She is Board President of LiberArte (arts non-profit with a mission to build racial, social, and climate justice worldwide), Co-Chair of Association of Fundraising Professionals Global Latinx Committee, Junior Board Member of Teatro SEA (bilingual arts-in-education and Latin children's theater in the United States), and Co-Founder of The Movement Theatre Company (artistic social movement that develops new work by artists of color).
She represents over 700,000 alumni globally on the NYU Alumni Association Board of Directors, as Chair Emeritus, Volunteer Leadership Outreach. She is the inaugural President Emeritus of NYU Latinx Alumni Network, including being named two-time recipient of the NYU Alumni Association Innovation of the Year Award. She has received the Prospanica New York Top Latinx Leader: Non-Profit and Negocios Now: Latinos 40 Under 40, New York.
On her most recent project she served as creative producer for initiatives about mastering professional presence through strategic, budget-friendly style. She is an active member of The Hispanic Collective, VECINOS, McNair Academic High School and Latinx Theatre Commons. Correa writes, performed at The Metropolitan Museum of Art and voiced narration for children's audiobooks. Correa is a first-generation Boricua graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Drama.
