A 1 to 1 program to grow and learn from a professional woman of color in fundraising or philanthropy.
Overview
Mentor Match is a program designed to establish mentee/mentor relationships. Participants have the opportunity to grow and learn from a professional woman of color in fundraising or philanthropy.
Mentees consult their mentors on the top goals, opportunities, and challenges that they are facing in their careers.
Mentors give advice, knowledge, strategies, and wisdom with their mentees to support in their development.
The Program
Participants in Mentor Match™ will engage with one another to work on challenges and goals identified by the mentee in a video or face-to-face conversation a minimum of every other month over the course of the 12-month period.
Mentors share that they find great joy in giving back while also learning more about the up-and-coming women of color in the fundraising and philanthropy field.
Mentees have reported increases in their confidence and understanding of the field, in addition to soft skills, opportunities for advancement, and more.
Application
Only WOC members are eligible for this program. However, the program is cohort-based and applications must be received by the given deadlines in order to participate.
For those who applied for the Winter/Spring Cohort: Assignments will be made in time for the formal kick off of Mentor Match and Check-In Chicas in January 2024.
