Description
As Development Director, you will have a high level of agency and ability to shape and grow our development efforts. You will plan, oversee and execute all fundraising activities in support of Margaret’s Village. You will report to the Executive Director and work closely with executive leadership, staff, board members, and committees. Together with the Executive Director, you will serve as a primary communication source for the organization. You have a high level of personal and professional integrity, and you enjoy the fulfillment that comes with creating transformational impact in the lives of those we serve.
Responsibilities
In this hands-on position, you will apply your commitment to the human services sector, your dedication to our mission of transforming the lives of the unhoused, your passion for fundraising, and your love of meeting people to carry out the following responsibilities:
Create an annual development plan, including an execution timeline
Raise funds from government, foundation, corporate, and individual funders • Write grant applications and grant reports
Deepen relationships with current supporters, including individual, foundation, and corporate funders
Cultivate a pipeline of new supporters, including individual, foundation, and corporate funders
Cultivate major-gift donors
Cultivate corporate, professional, and community partners for pro-bono support and services
Work with marketing and social media volunteers to raise awareness and enhance the positive image of Margaret’s Village
Recruit, train and supervise volunteers and interns to assist with development functions
Help grow our planned giving program
Plan and execute in-person fundraising events, online fundraising appeals, and direct mail fundraising campaigns
Represent Margaret’s Village at networking and community events, and make presentations to attendees to promote our mission
Report on fundraising activities to executive management and to the board
Collaborate on all the above with executive leadership, program staff, board leadership, board members, and committees
Requirements
Passion for the mission of transforming the lives of the unhoused
Three or more years of successful fundraising, sales, and/or business development experience
Bachelor’s degree
Salary Range and Employee Benefits
Salary range based on experience and reference $73,000 -$85,000
