Aamina Awan-Khan

 

Aamina serves as Co-Chair of Amplify Her Foundation’s Leadership Network and is the Principal of IMK Advisory LLC, where she partners with organizations across the public, nonprofit, and private sectors on strategy, crisis preparedness, and operational design. Most recently Aamina served for nearly a decade with the U.S. Department of State in a series of national security, partnerships, and technology leadership roles. Aamina also served as the first-ever U.S. Department of State Public Diplomacy Task Force Officer detailed to the Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) FBI, strengthening federal-local coordination on key security efforts in the U.S. and abroad. Earlier in her career, Aamina worked across finance and global philanthropy, including overseeing investment banking talent strategy at Credit Suisse and designing youth entrepreneurship, gender equity, and women’s leadership initiatives with the Clinton Foundation and the United Nations. A Presidential Leadership Scholar and former U.S. Fulbright Scholar to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Aamina holds a MSc in Gender and International Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BA from Fairfield University. Aamina is a Trustee of Notre Dame Academy (Worcester, Massachusetts), a Board Member of 92NY’s Belfer Center for Social Impact and Innovation, and recently joined The David Prize as a Prize Advisor.
