Bryant Group is proud to partner with Hope College in their search for several dynamic Philanthropy Advisors to join its Philanthropy & Engagement Division. These experienced, relationship-builders with a passion for education and a heart for philanthropy may be located in West Michigan or regionally and work to advance the College's emerging strategic plan focused on bringing more hope to the world.
In this vital role, you will lead a portfolio of major gift prospects—individuals with the potential to make transformative gifts of $100,000 or more—helping them connect their generosity to the mission and strategic priorities of Hope College. With support from the Chief Philanthropy Officer and collaboration across campus, the Philanthropy Advisor builds personalized, meaningful experiences for donors that foster long-term engagement and impact. This is more than a fundraising role—it’s a chance to inspire generosity that sustains and elevates a student-centered, inclusive, faith-based educational experience.
Responsibilities
As a Philanthropy Advisor, you will be instrumental in implementing strategic plans and forging strong relationships with deans, athletics leadership, and program leaders. Your work will support affinity-based giving, unrestricted contributions, and key campus initiatives like financial accessibility—all while upholding values of diversity, integrity, and servant leadership. From crafting tailored cultivation strategies to stewarding lifelong donor relationships, you’ll help shape the future of Hope College.
Requirements
The ideal candidates have at least five years of experience in higher education, healthcare or another nonprofit, raising significant gifts. This role will operate fairly independently, working remotely and traveling to campus for significant events or times of collaboration.
Though required to be within a two hour drive or three hour plane trip, there is a strong preference for candidates in major alumni hubs like West Michigan, Chicago, northern Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, upstate NY, eastern Michigan, NYC and Washington, DC. The PA must enjoy leading with emotional intelligence and sound judgment, and be energized by a culture of collaboration, excellence, creativity and rising to the next level.

Salary Range and Employee Benefits
