Description
The Development Assistant provides a wide range of critical administrative and operational support to the Chief Development Officer and fund development team to ensure the daily operations of the team. Thie role ensures the smooth execution of fundraising activities, donor communications, and data management. The incumbent is required to be detailed-oriented, highly organized, passionate about supporting philanthropic efforts and maintain a high level of confidentiality while working with sensitive donor information.
Responsibilities
Conduct donor and prospect research, facilitating data tracking and analysis, and compiling briefing materials.
Assist with administrative duties including invoicing, calendar management, meeting support, filing, general word processing, recording, and preparing meeting minutes for Development related meetings as needed.
Identify and reconcile data input discrepancies in donor database and be sure all data follows development/finance guidelines.
Prepare and edit donor communications [through email, phone, and written documents] such as acknowledgements, and other forms of fund development communications that provide donor support and response.
Assist with coordinating logistics for fundraising events, donor meetings, and stewardship activities. Perform other duties as assigned to support the development team.
Requirements
Associates degree in related field.
Two (2) plus years of administrative experience, preferably in a nonprofit or fundraising environment.
One (1) or more years of previous experience in development or fundraising activities Preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and donor management systems.
Salary Range and Employee Benefits
$55,335 - $71,936
