Description

The Bend Chamber is seeking a new CEO/President. Responsibilities include leading and supporting the staff while fostering a positive, collaborative organizational culture; promoting the Chamber within the business community; and ensuring financial health and stability, while advocating for local business.

Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities include maintaining current knowledge of Bend and Oregon’s business-related issues, while providing vision and direction for the Chamber’s programs, people, and growth.

Requirements

More specifically, the Bend Chamber seeks a professional who has:

Minimum ten years of executive leadership, preferably in a chamber of commerce, regional development organization, nonprofit, government, or private enterprise
Background in business development, fundraising, public advocacy, or strategic planning
Supervisory experience with a firm commitment to collaborative, team-oriented management and proficiency in cultural sensitivity
Strong public presence with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to influence public policy and drive legislative priorities
A high level of curiosity and creativity in problem solving and seeks to include data to determine courses of action
Strong financial planning and analytical skills that maintain a healthy budget
Personal integrity and a commitment to professional excellence, combined with values that wear well over the long term
Progressive record of clear and consistent success and ethics beyond reproach are required
Bachelor's degree required

The successful candidate will also likely have:

Professional experience working with a mission-driven staff and board
Advanced degree in a related field
Familiarity with Bend, Central Oregon and Oregon decision-making and decision-makers

Salary Range and Employee Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $170,000 to $180,000 and includes a comprehensive benefits package. The Bend Chamber of Commerce has exclusively retained The 360 Group of San Francisco to assist with this search.
