Join us for an insightful session on how we can think positively and differently about how we nurture our bodies through nutrition and healthy eating. We are what we eat and what we eat plays an integral role in how we refuel and our overall well-being.

This impacts how we interact with others both personally and professionally. The summer season is a perfect opportunity to use the bounty of what is available to nourish and care for ourselves.

Tamar Samuels

Tamar Samuels, Co-founder, Culina Health

Tamar’s unique approach to nutrition care was inspired by her own journey with food and her health, and integrates lifestyle medicine and behavioral change techniques pulled from her
training in clinical nutrition, psychology, and coaching science.

As a Registered Dietitian, she's helped countless people transform their relationship with food to overcome a variety of health conditions and improve their lives. As the co-founder of Culina Health, she’s passionate about making personalized and sustainable nutrition care accessible to everyone.

Born on New York’s Lower East Side and raised in Woodstock, New York, by a family of musicians and artists, Tamar developed a deep empathy for others and the belief that health is a human right and not a luxury. She majored in Psychology for her undergraduate degree at Hunter College, Minoring in Africana and Puerto Rican/Latino studies.

Tamar was inspired to enter the field of nutrition after her personal experience with a chronic GI condition, which was poorly managed by her doctors and led to years of unnecessary food restriction.

She earned her Master's degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University and completed her clinical training at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Tamar is trained as a
health coach and specializes in health behavior modification, lifestyle medicine (sleep, stress management, physical activity), and relationship with food.

Tamar has been recognized as one of the top holistic dietitians in New York City by Well + Good. She has been featured in The Huffington Post, Prevention, PopSugar, Women's Health, Shape, Insider, and The Tamron Hall Show.

Tamar lives in Miami, Florida with her husband and daughter.
