Overview
The 5th Anniversary WOC Awards evening will gather Women of Color in Fundraising and Philanthropy (WOC) supporters from across the country to New York City during WOC Week, where we will celebrate our 5th Anniversary and all that WOC has accomplished since it began in 2020. The evening will consist of a buffet dinner, followed by the awards ceremony at the beautiful Scandinavia House in NYC. We always round things out with celebratory cake. This year’s honorees include the inaugural Catherine Ferguson Philanthropy Award, in addition to the Award for Excellence to a seasoned fundraising or philanthropy professional; the Shine Award for a mid-career professional woman of color; the Spotlight Award for a young or emerging professional woman of color serving the non-profit sector and the corporate award, given to a corporate which champions women and women of color in the nonprofit sector.
There are live performances planned, as well as an auction, the presentation of anniversary-only year recognitions of the Steadfast Originals, granted to those who have not wavered in supporting WOC since its inception.
Our audience consists of professionals and executives in the nonprofit and related sectors and industries and the evening is second-to-none when it comes to celebrating women of color of all backgrounds who are leading the nonprofit sector.
