Description

Reporting to the CEO and serving as a member of the leadership team, the Head of Revenue and Philanthropy will lead and scale AI4ALL’s comprehensive revenue strategy across philanthropy, partnerships, and business innovation, ensuring alignment with the organization’s long-term vision and growth goals.

As a key member of the team, this role will build and operationalize the development function from the ground up, establishing the systems, partnerships, and strategies necessary to expand AI4ALL’s reach and sustainability significantly. In partnership with the CEO and Board, the Head of Revenue and Philanthropy will design and execute a multi-channel fundraising plan aimed at raising $6.5M in 2026 and scaling beyond $10M in subsequent years, strengthening AI4ALL’s donor base across foundation, corporate, and individual giving.

They will cultivate and steward relationships with major foundations, family offices, high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs), and mission-aligned partners, while engaging the Board of Directors in advancing philanthropic growth. Working with the program team, they will also help build products into earned income product lines. This is a pivotal opportunity for a strategic, relationship-driven leader to shape AI4ALL’s long-term financial sustainability and advance its mission to create equitable pathways into artificial intelligence for historically excluded communities.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate possesses a blend of strategic acumen, deep relationships, grant-writing expertise, and an entrepreneurial spirit—capable of both envisioning new funding strategies and aligning revenue goals with programmatic impact metrics. Specifically, the Head of Revenue and Philanthropy will:

Strategy and Leadership

Philanthropy and Donor Development

Build, steward, and expand AI4ALL’s portfolio of foundation, corporate, and individual donors, with an emphasis on high six- and seven-figure commitments. Lead relationship management with major funders, leveraging the CEO and Board where strategic. Oversee grant strategy—including pipeline development, proposal creation, and reporting—ensuring strong alignment between funder interests and program impact. Partner with program and communications teams to craft compelling narratives and proposals that demonstrate measurable outcomes.

Strategic Partnerships and Revenue

Innovation Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities with mission-aligned corporations, technology firms, and innovation funds. Collaborate with leadership and the programs team to explore earned-revenue opportunities that extend AI4ALL’s reach and sustainability. Negotiate partnership agreements and ensure successful delivery on commitments.

Team Development and Collaboration

Lead and mentor the development team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning. Build internal systems for tracking donor engagement and revenue pipelines using Salesforce (or equivalent CRM). Support the Board’s development activities, providing guidance and tools to strengthen their fundraising role, and tracking impact.

Communications, Marketing, and Brand Alignment

Partner with communications staff to ensure consistent, donor-facing storytelling across proposals, reports, and public materials. Develop fundraising marketing campaigns to attract new funders. Elevate AI4ALL’s philanthropic profile through thought leadership and network engagement.

Requirements

  • Proven track record securing major gifts and institutional grants (foundation, family office, or corporate) at the six- or seven-figure level.

  • Deep understanding of philanthropic ecosystems, particularly within technology, education, workforce development, or equity. Exceptional relationship builder with demonstrated success engaging HNWIs and senior-level decision-makers.

  • Strategic thinker with strong financial acumen and experience in setting and achieving ambitious revenue goals. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; persuasive storyteller who connects data to impact.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort in a small, fast-moving, mission-driven environment. Experience managing distributed teams and working cross-functionally. Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
