Description
The ideal candidate will provide strategic and administrative support for individual and institutional funding priorities. The Development Coordinator will serve as a fundraiser for foundations, individuals, and corporate foundations/corporations (hereinafter funders), supporting the identification of viable prospects and cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding current funders and prospects to achieve fundraising goals.
In collaboration with the HWC team, they will also assist with the execution and management of grantmaking. The successful candidate will have strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across different types of funders, meet deadlines, and collaborate across teams.
The successful candidate will have an outgoing personality, sense of humor, pro-active ambition, and a passion for contributing to the mission of a feminist Fund for Haitian Women. The position reports to the HWC’s Executive Director and will be a valued member of a supportive team driven by an ethos of anti-racism, feminist principles, collaboration, continuous learning, and improvement.
Responsibilities
Provide support to the executive director with calendar management, coordinating meetings, preparing briefings, and creating donor reports.
Project- manage dashboards, and support revenue report preparation.
Manage the grantmaking and impact tracking systems.
Assist with creating lists/queries, data entry, and cleanup in the CRM database.
Database integrity by confirming donor information, entering donor communications and next steps, and maintaining updated information for constituents.
Oversee donor cultivation and stewardship by executing fundraising campaigns, soliciting gifts, and
Knowledge of international development a plus
Proficiency in French and/or Haitian Kreyol a plus
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, international development, or other related field.
3 years of related professional experience preferred.
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook), project management tools, and CRMs/databases grantmaking systems.
Preferred Skills
Advanced interpersonal communication skills with keen attention to detail
Excellent time management skills and ability to handle multiple projects and competing deadlines
Strong ability to build and foster relationships, leading to trust and credibility across all employee levels
Strong critical thinking, writing, and project management skills
Experience with philanthropic, data or grantmaking software a plus
Experience working with project management programs (e.g. Monday.com or Basecamp) a plus
Salary Range and Employee Benefits
$60K-$65K (Annually)
